Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I absolutely love food. You can find me either in the kitchen or watching a cooking show. I look for authentic local restaurants whenever I travel and I am truly inspired by different cultures and how they use products and produce in different ways. I am a mum of 2 kids and I love the time I get to spend in the kitchen cooking. I feel I can give them the best start in life through the food that they eat so I prioritise the best quality that I can afford. I have a background in design and illustration but after having the last few years at home, raising a family, recipe development and cooking have become my true passion.

When did you first hear about Phileos of Sparta and what makes it so special to you?

The first time I tasted Phileos I knew it was something special. I have always had a love of amazing produce but never really thought about the olive oil I used. The flavour was unlike anything I’d had before and after learning about the health benefits it became a staple I can’t live without.

What are some non-negotiable things you do every day for your health? (Physical, mental, spiritual)

I always eat well. I have learnt that the food you eat impacts your physical and mental wellbeing so no matter what I eat, whether it’s purely healthy or a little on the naughty side, I ensure it’s always made with the best quality products. Food is my love language and my happy place so when it’s chaotic at home and I can’t find time for anything else, I’ll always ensure I have time for healthy, delicious food. Made at home and shared with the people I love.

How has using Phileos impacted your health and why should people use it every day?

I am currently in my childbearing years with 2 young kids and I believe that a diet rich in good fat is so important for all of us. Phileos is a product that I trust and I know when I’m feeding it to my family that we are all getting the best quality we can afford with all the added health benefits for now and the future.

How do you unwind and relax after a stressful day?

Always in the kitchen. Using my creativity freely to make something that satisfies me at that moment. Nothing better than a rich chocolate and olive oil cake after a bad day! Or a warming chicken soup on a stressful day.

What are some tips on how to boost your immunity with your diet?

Focus on what you are putting into your body. The quality of the food over the quantity. So many of the problems people have these days can be fixed through diet but it takes longer than a pill. Look for alternatives. Food can be used as medicine both preventative and once your body is fighting something. It takes longer but maybe slowing down and listening to your symptoms is what your body is really asking for.

Where is your favourite place to go in Greece and why?

I seriously love Greece and have been lucky enough to visit a few times. I love everything about their culture and way of life. The significance of food and how it is eaten. Long afternoon lunches at the taverna on the beach eating local produce and fresh fish caught that day. There truly isn't anything better. I don’t even know where my favourite place to go is, I love the whole country!
