Lou’s approach integrates your conventional care with evidence-based natural therapies - that could include diet, sleep assistance, meditation, select supplements and general well being advice - to support your healing and longevity as a whole being. Lou empowers her clients to take an active role in their healthcare journey and she looks forward to working with anyone hoping for a long and prosperous life.

Lou is a Registered Pharmacist and she has worked predominantly in hospitals in Australia and the UK. In 2005 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and it was during her chemotherapy and radiation treatments that she explored ways to boost her immunity and heal her body during and post treatment. Initially it was Ian Gawler’s book, “You Can Conquer Cancer,” that opened her to alternative therapies and how important nutrition, meditation, stress relief and the power of positive thought are to our healing and overall wellbeing.
The cancer hasn’t returned and Lou believes the chemotherapy and radiation brought the cancer under control and the lifestyle changes that she has embraced since then have kept her well.
What did I learn on my cancer journey?
You must take good care of yourself. Know your limitations and try not to
control anything out of your control.
Nurture the relationships you have with the people you love
Use your time doing the things that give meaning to your life
Learn to meditate-it provides you with a place of peace when you need it
Spend time in nature- it is nurturing
Be grateful for what you have
Lou is a certified yoga instructor and she meditates daily. Her diet is predominantly Mediterranean including at least 80mls a day of her medicinal Greek extra virgin olive oil. She exercises at least 5 days a week including resistance, high intensity and zone 2 training as well as ashtanga and yin yoga.
In more recent years, her research focus has been on longevity as all the elements attributed to longevity are the same as those which protect us from cancer and other chronic diseases. Longevity has two components: Lifespan and healthspan-how long you live and how well you live.
“My life journey has changed the way I once thought about health and disease. We need to take responsibility for our health rather than waiting for our bodies to succumb to illness. We need to stop chronic disease before it presents. We need to prevent it. We need to be proactive rather than reactive. We need to take responsibility for our own health which means being informed, willing to change habits and mindsets, being ready to be challenged and pushed out of your comfort zone, being willing to take action and confront the challenges. We all have huge capacity for change. Through challenging ourselves comes mental and physical refinement and life becomes more meaningful. You need to take complete control and responsibility for your own well-being.”
